1. Cinder by Marissa Meyer (X)

Entertainment Monthly

Cinder is a retelling of Cinderella, the first book in the Lunar Chronicles which also includes Scarlet a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood, Cress a retelling of Rapunzel and Winter a retelling of Snow White.

2. The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor (X)

Book Monkey Scribbles

The Looking Glass Wars is a Trilogy retelling of Alice in Wonderland. Wonderland is a city and the Hatter is a badass bodyguard.

As I haven’t read a lot of retelling’s the next 3 are my most anticipated fairy tale retelling’s …

3. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas (X)

Goodreads

A Court of Thorns and Roses is a retelling of Beauty and The Beast written by the author of Throne of Glass. Beauty and The Beast is a favourite of mine and I love Maas’ writing making me excited for the novel. I have a copy of this one so hopefully I will get to it early next year.

4. The Wrath and The Dawn by Renee Ahdieh (X)

Goodreads

The Wrath and The Dawn is a story inspired by A Thousand and One Nights – which seems to be very popular at the moment. This is the first novel I saw inspired by this story so this is the one I am going to start with as I have heard very good things.

5. Darcy’s Story by Janet Aylmer (X)

Goodreads

Most retellings are admittedly fairytales but it doesn’t have to be. Darcy’s Story is a retelling of the events of Pride and Prejudice from Mr Darcy’s POV.
